These Web sites specialize in entry level jobs, internships for college and graduate school students, and/or they offer summer/seasonal jobs for students. Most college and university placement offices also provide summer jobs and internship listings, often at sites available only to "subscribing" schools, so check your school's career center to see what they have and to get the passwords and other access information as necessary.

• AfterCollege - search for jobs by keyword or browse their postings by category (e.g. internship/co-op jobs, part time engry level, etc.) by industry (accounting, advertising and marketing, etc.), or location (state in the U.S. or province in Canada). A privacy policy is posted.
• American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) - fellowships available annually, with applications available at the start of the academic year.
• Black Collegian - from the magazine of the same name, this site has job opportunities and lots of career-related information. A privacy policy is posted.
• Capital Fellows Programs - fellowships within the state of California's government, for those interested in working in public service.
• Cool Works - Positions for full time and seasonal jobs. "Channel Surf" through the job categories (national parks, conservation, resorts, state parks, rangch jobs, etc.), or "Pick a Place" and see the jobs available there. A privacy policy is posted, but be careful here.
• Experience.com - find an internship, an entry level job, or an "experienced" job. A privacy policy is posted.
• INROADS - Its mission is to "develop and place talented minority students" in internships with sponsoring businesses and organizations. An alumni network is available, and a privacy policy is posted.
• Internships in Europe - from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, internships and opportunities to spend a semester in Europe for credit (if your school participates in the University of Rochester program).
• Internship Links - from California Polytechnic State University ("Cal Poly"), an extensive directory of links to internship sources by category (e.g. agriculture/environment, art, business, communications/media, government, etc.)
• JobWeb - excellent career advice for college job seekers and recent college grads, practical and useful advice (recent job market and starting salary studies), articles, links, searchable database of college job fairs, and much more. Classic site, continued high quality.
• Magazine Publishers of America - internship opportunities posted by members of MPA, plus an annual "Magazine University."
• MarineCareers.net - information about careers and opportunities in marine biology, oceanography, ocean engineering, and related fields.
• NACElink - jobs for college students and new grads if your school belongs to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and has registered for this service. A privacy policy is posted.
• NASA Learning Center - select your preferred option - grad student research, undergrad student research, fellowships, post-doc programs, etc. available through NASA.
• Smithsonian Institutions Interns - internships with the Smithsonian's research centers, museums, and outreach programs.
• StudentJobs.gov - jobs in the U.S. Federal Government for students, from summer work and co-op through internships and volunteer service.
• SummerJobs - search job postings by keywords in the U.S. Some internships are included. A privacy policy is posted.
• Summer Study Abroad - Search by program name for organizations sponsoring summer employment outside the U.S. No privacy policy is posted.
• YouthRules - from the U.S. Department of Labor, provides the "Youth [Employment] Rules" for teenagers in the U.S.
